Midnight Sparkle Wings

I had to go to work this morning, so I wanted to do a quick and easy look. (ugh, work on a Saturday!)  However, I'm also going out after work, so I wanted something glitzy and eye-catching.  This is what I came up with:

I used my Urban Decay 15th Anniversary palette to create this look. (surprise, surprise)  Here are the colors:

First, I applied UD Cream Eyeshadow in Midnight Rodeo onto my entire lid.  Then I layered Midnight Rodeo powder shadow over it.  Using Midnight 15, I softened the edges of Midnight Rodeo.  Next, I used a black eye pencil to line my upper and lower lash lines, also creating a wing along my upper lash line.  Then I layered Evidence over the pencil liner, to give it a deep blue finish.  To enhance the look, I traced blue glitter liner over my upper and lower lash lines.  Voila, all set!

To complete the look, I wanted a colorful, but not overpowering lip because I didn't want it to compete too much with the eyes.  Using a technique from a previous post, I applied MAC Dazzleglass in Love Alert:

I've always been a fan of Dazzleglass.  Don't know if you guys remember, but I used to have a tube of Extra Amps that I used up to the very last drop.  Love Alert is a gorgeous, sheer red with a moderate amount of sparkles.  It gives my lips a bright tinge without being over-the-top.  It's on the stickier side, but I really don't mind, in fact, I prefer it because it means that it's going to be long-lasting.  And again, unlike most lip colors, I don't get any residue buildup from the formula, which is precisely why I won't hesitate to drop $18.50 every time I need to restock.
