Glass Pink Lilacs

I was rummaging through my nail polish stash and wanted to come up with something a little different...I'm a simple girl, usually just one nail color at a time.  So I decided to go crazy today and, *gasp*, tried a shimmery glaze over one of my favorite nail colors.  Lol.

Here we have lovely Lacey Lilac by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear overlaid with sheer and shimmery Glass Pink by Sinful Colors.  Isn't it purdy? :D  I feel like I've got fairy dust on my fingertips, I just can't stop admiring them!  Haha!  Hope you're all enjoying your Wednesday so far!

Hugs,
Cat

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Red Carpet

Ok, I didn't get the nail polishes that I REALLY wanted.  BUT, I did get a really nice one while I was at the drugstore the other day.  Sure, it's not a super-fancy, rare, and independently made polish, but it's still pretty! :D

Two coats, no base coat, no top coat.

I LOVE the Xtreme Wear line from Sally Hansen!  First off, they're only $3.  They carry a wonderful collection of colors, have excellent formulas, and have a nice wide, flat brush that makes application even and easy.  Red Carpet is a beautiful shade of deep, ruby red with tons of sparkly microglitter particles that remind me of Dorothy's ruby slippers. (which I think it should have been called instead)  I got decent opacity from one coat and perfect opacity from two.  The finish is a little grainy and textured due to the glitter, but I'm sure it's nothing that can't be fixed with a glossy topcoat.

I think it's the perfect color for the holiday season, which is great because I'm considering wearing it to a wedding I'm attending next weekend. :)

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White Out

Hi!  So I finally got around to removing Lacy Lilac (it was hard because it's sooooooo pretty) and tried White Out today, which is a shade of pure, flat white with no shimmer:

What can I say?  I love it!  It's not the typical girlie colors that I usually wear, but it's so...so...MOD-looking, don't you agree?  I feel incredibly chic with it on my fingertips.  White nail polish is distinct without being too extreme, which I like.  It goes with pretty much any occasion and complements any color I happen to be wearing.  White Out applies smoothly and evenly, and I really like the quality and opacity of the color for such a great price.  I'm wearing two coats here, no base coat, no top coat.  I'll try and update you all on it's longevity, but looks-wise, I would highly recommend! :D

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Lacey Lilac

CVS was having a BOGO half off on Sally Hansen polishes so I decided to pick up a couple of 'em.  I chose Lacy Lilac and White On.  Here's a shot of Lacy Lilac in natural window light:

It's a really pretty, creamy shade of pastel purple without any pearl or shimmer.  Such a feminine and romantic color!  It's similar to the Revlon Scented Polish in Gumdrop that I did a post on a few months ago,  however Lacey Lilac has a little more pink in it.  The formula applies really well and has decent opacity with just one coat, though I'm pictured here wearing 2 coats.  At only $2.99 a bottle and with the addition of the BOGO sale, they're even cheaper than ELF nail polishes.  I love a great bargain! :D
