Mad For Plaid

I admit, I'm a sucker for plaid.  I especially love those button-downs that they sell at Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch.  I have a ton of them in my closet.  I simply adore the casual fit and feel, yet understatedly stylish look...like you rolled out of bed, pulled it on without thinking, and still ended up looking fabulous anyway.  You know what I mean?  I paired today's orchid and navy plaid, from Hollister, with Stella cropped jeggings from Express, and some cute, open-toed, boucle bow pumps by Madden Girl.  To be honest, this outfit wasn't well thought out at all...I DID roll out of bed and just pulled on whatever was in my suitcase and ended up with this:

For those of you who aren't up to speed, I'm staying at my parents' house for the week since my husband is out of town on business.  I only brought some flip-flops, lol, so I'm really lucky I was able to dig these heels out of the closet from when I used to live at home.  I forgot how cute they were!

Ended up doing up my eyes to match my shirt via my Sleek Ultra Mattes palette:

I must say, I'm a little proud of myself for being able to put together such a cohesive look on the fly!  Hope everyone's having a lovely Wednesday so far!

Cloches and Capelets

I think I might have mentioned once that I'm sensitive to cold, therefore not a big fan of the fall and winter season.  However, I do like fall and winter fashion, so I guess there's one good thing to say about cold weather.  Here's to being cute in the cold!  :D

Cloche :: Macy's

Poncho/Capelet :: Kohl's

Jeggings :: Express

Boots :: Rockport

Bag :: Kate Spade

Hope you're all having a great weekend so far! :D

Sweater Season

Actually, it was sweater season about a month ago, but I didn't get around to shopping for some new fall threads until last week, so my latest style post comes a little...late.  Oh well, better late than never! :)

Sunglasses :: Juicy Couture
Cardigan :: Kohl's
Tank :: Hollister
Jeggings :: Express
Boots :: Cathy Jean

I LOVE my sweater!  It's gorgeous, figure-flattering, and cozy.  I cannot believe I got it from Kohl's!

These boots are amazing.  Not only are they super-cute, but they're really comfy too.  I can walk all day in them!  Mine are a buttery shade of taupe, but they also come in black, brown, and grey.

Since I was wearing all neutrals today, I decided to add a pop of color by accessorizing with a bright red Marc Jacobs bag.  Certainly does the trick, don't you think?

Hope you all had a fab weekend!  Stay tuned for more style shoots, since I recently went shopping, and have a great night!

A Bow-rific Afternoon

Yesterday was one of the rare weekdays that my husband and I had the day off together.  We decided to celebrate by having a romantic, waterfront dinner at one of San Francisco's most famous oyster bars, The Hog Island Oyster Company.

Since the weather was sunny and warm (for a change) it was the perfect opportunity to show off my Bow of Beauty wide-brimmed hat from Ruche that I've been dying to wear!  I felt so chic on the promenade with my charming chapeau. :D

Daisy the doggie wants to be a part of the shoot too! LOL!

Nothing beats a great pair of pumps.  These nude velveteen hidden-platform pumps are by a cheap-o company called Qupid.  They cost about $30, but look like a million bucks.  Nude pumps are a must-have for any girl's wardrobe and not only are these pretty, but they're also comfy for the heel height!
