WnW: 547B Breeze and 521A Fuchsia with Blue Pearl

Just thought I'd review a few more sale Wet N Wild Silk Finish lipsticks that I got from CVS.  The good news is that they were only $0.69.  The bad news is that there were only, like 5 colors available (my neighborhood CVS is soooooooo understocked) so I pretty much got all the good ones and there are no more left to buy.  This is too bad because there seems to be a range of beautiful colors available according to the Wet N Wild website.  Oh well.

547B Breeze is a sheer, frosty, caramel-nude shade.

I initially had reservations about this color because I thought it would look really washed out with my complexion.  However, I was pleasantly surprised at how nicely it enhanced my natural lip color.  I'd say that Breeze is a very polite color that would be great for casual daytime, ie. work, school, etc.

521A Fuchsia with Blue Pearl fits its namesake exactly, vibrant fuchsia with a frosty, blue pearl cast.

I love how shockingly bright this color is and the blue pearl frost definitely adds another dimension to it, making my lips appear fuller.

My only concern is that it looks much too similar to the previous two Silk Finish lipsticks I purchased: 511B Nouveau Pink and 505A Light Berry Frost.  Oh well, they were so cheap so I guess it's okay, lol. :D

521A Fuchsia, 511B Nouveau Pink, 505A Light Berry Frost

I'm such a lipstick junkie and, lately, my collection has just been growing!  Looks like I'm going to have to buy more storage soon!

Wet N Wild Silk Finish Lipstick: 505A Light Berry Frost

I ran out of shampoo so I stopped by CVS on my way home to get some.  After making my pick in the shampoo aisle, I HAD to swing by the Wet N Wild display just to check things out, as always.  Lol.  A tube of bright, icy-pink lipstick caught my eye and I decided, "why not?".

I love WnW Silk Finish lipsticks.  What's better than $0.99 lipstick?  I'll tell you what.  $0.69 lipstick!  To my pleasant surprise, they happen to be on sale at CVS right now.  It almost feels illegal for something so inexpensive to get even cheaper.  I've got to stop by again tomorrow to see if the sale is still going on!

Pure 505A applied straight from the tube.  No primer, no liner.

505A is a bright, bluish-pink lipstick with a lightly frosted finish.  It was a little more sheer than I had expected upon initial application, but built up nicely with just a few additional strokes.  The texture is smooth, lightweight, and moisturizing.  I didn't get a chance to test for longevity or anti-feathering ability because I applied it at 10pm, but I'll keep you all posted once I do.

I'm also wearing WnW on the eyes.  Tutorial to come tomorrow so stay tuned!

Cat

Wet N Wild 511B Hot Pink Lipstick

Okies, so I'm just going to keep this short and sweet.  You may have read in my last post that I purchased this vibrant, hot pink lippy at CVS:

Well, I got a chance to try it on the other day.  This is what it looks like, no primer, no liner.  Just pure Wet N Wild 511B on my lips:

My camera was unable to catch the true color of this lipstick.  In reality, it's less red and more blue.

It is what it is, super-hot, bold, vivid pink.  The texture is very smooth and surprisingly moisturizing.  The color applies highly pigmented and evenly with good opacity and a satin finish.  I've only had a chance to try it on and didn't actually test drive it for longevity, so I'm not sure if I'll run into any problems such as fading, bleeding, or feathering, but I'll try and post an update on that soon.  Seriously though, at $0.99 a tube, why not?
